Nachos with Mango and Fried Lumpia Wrapper: A Love Desserts’ Copycat Recipe

Nachos with Mango and Fried Lumpia Wrapper: A Love Desserts’ Copycat Recipe

Remember this cheesy, meaty, and tangy nachos from Love Desserts?

im in love with love desserts13

When I was invited to dine in at this lovely restaurant, one of the best (and my personal favorite) in their menu was nachos! Its unique and distinct taste is simply captivating! Not to mention its presentation that is nothing short of awesome! BUT you may notice that there is one ingredient missing in the recipe, the tortilla! But as they say, you cannot put a good (nacho) recipe down! 🙂 So, instead of using tortilla chips, crispy deep-fried wonton/lumpia wrappers were used as alternative.

Love Desserts' Nachos Copycat1

Two months ago, I thought of recreating Love Desserts’ nachos recipe for my daughter’s party and it’s a heart-stealer! My family loved the new “twist” on their nachos!

For this recipe, I made use of wonton wrapper, which, I find too thick compared to the original recipe, too bad, I only realized it when I was writing down this post, but you can still use it anyway! However, lumpia wrapper is thinner and would look exactly just like that of Love Desserts’! But just a note on deep-frying lumpia or wonton wrappers, they cook faster so quickly flip the other side before it turns brown or it will burn.

Maybe I’ll make this for pichi.. Hmm, do you think it’ll taste ok with ground beef in it or will the mangoes and beef flavor have a war of each other? My pichi loves beef on his Nachos kasi eh hehehe…
