The above photo exactly summed up my thoughts about last Saturday’s event — the Titus Pens iDoodle Battle of the Champions held at SM MOA Music Hall. Doodling is no doubt MORE fun in the Philippines!

The highlight of the whole day event was the final lap to iDoodle On-the-Spot Ballpen Art Contest where Champions from all over the Philippines were assembled to square off for the title of Titus iDoodle Champ 2015!

iDoodle is religiously held annually,  since 2011,  to promote love for the creative arts and spread the word of  “Visit the Philippines“, the Department of Tourism’s campaign to attract both domestic and international visitors.

Non-contestants also took part in the event by attending free doodling workshops! Titus Pens invited experts from different industries to share tips on doodling and sketching!

Dani Barretto, a fashion design student and celebrity, along with three other fashion bloggers graced the #Doodle4Fashion workshop to teach participants about fashion illustration and help them design their own shirts!

The very talented, Harvey Tolibao of Marvel and DC Comics shared his expertise on cartooning and creating comic stories! The #Doodle4Hobby nook also turns out as an exhibit for his prominent artworks! Superheroes, like Spider Man, The Hulk, and Iron Man, were just some of his amazing creations! (Check out the slider at the end of the post for other event photos!)

TV5 news anchor Carla Lim who also happens to be a visual artist, together with Urban Sketchers Philippines joined forces to give travel blogging and urban sketching tips to #Doodle4Travel participants! And the best part of the workshop? They got to take home their designs printed on a custom made travel bag! 🙂

Meanwhile, foodies or food art lovers, like me, enjoyed the 2-hr #Doodle4Food workshop! We were taught basic cupcake decorating and coffee cup doodling. A box filled with a handful of colorful candy sprinkles and chocolate bits, one chocolate cupcake, and three icing bags in assorted colors (I got green, yellow, and pink! ) courtesy of Blushing Cupcakes was handed over to us!idoodleforfood28

I tagged my daughter along, for she’s into arts as well, and obviously, she was delighted with the activity. Check out her works!

And here’s mine,

The free doodling workshops were part of Titus Pens #redefinedoodle campaign — an offshoot of one of the major components of the Titus Pens Ballpen Art Campaign. It highlights the use of Titus writing instruments such as ballpens, markers, etc. as they give more character to ballpen art and ballpen doodling used on specific ballpen market niches like fashion, food, hobby, and travel.

The 1st Titus Pens iDoodle Competition started in June 2013 – a grand on-the-spot doodling competition between the most artistic doodlers and ballpen artists from different online communities. The event then continued on and on until now.

Happy Doodling!
